I love doing “taking stock” posts because they help me reflect on my life.I know it sounds cheesy and like a cliche but its true. I’m always quite excited while doing this posts. The fact that this is the first in 2018 is even more exciting. ENJOY!

Making: mood boards and vision boards. I think this is a good way to see where you want to be in life and how you can get there.

Drinking: peppermint Krusher from KFC right now. This has been my all time fave ever since it came out.

Reading: The Return of The Shaka by Meja Mwangi. To be honest this book has been a little bit hard for me to read. I have borrowed it 3 times from the school library and they give you 2 weeks every time you borrow. I’ve read another book by Meja Mwangi and I couldn’t put it down. I think I was done in 3 days so I think the book is not the problem.

Wanting: more deep connecting conversations with the people around me. I had one with a friend of mine the other day when I went to visit her BEAUTIFUL son and to be honest I felt refreshed afterwards.

Playing: Kakuro on my phone. If you know me, you know I love playing Soduku but Kakuro is on its own level. I love to keep my mind busy.

Wasting: more flour trying to make chapati. The day I will cook the perfect bunch of chapati, I will cook them for 3 meals in a row! I am very determined!

Creating: new bonds that I hope will last a life time.

Wishing: that it rains soon. I miss the rain, I miss the smell of rain when it hits the pavement. I miss running in the rain and wearing heavy jackets. I miss layering my clothes; I just miss the rain.

Enjoying: watching Bible stories from the internet. You need to be careful with this though, some of the stories I have watched don’t really follow or support the Bible.

Liking: reading African based novels. My biggest goal for 2018 is to read 24 African based novel before the year ends. I am struggling with one book but so far so good.

Wondering: if I should really grow out my little afro. I always snip off a little bit every week when I wash my hair.  Its already stressing me out and it’s just a little Afro. Don’t get me wrong, I love falling in love with my natural hair but it can be quite frustrating at times.

Loving: staying indoors. As an introvert, this is basically my whole life. I always cannot wait to get back to the house. I have been told I am quite anti-social and grandma like since I’m always rushing to get under the covers with a good ol’ book.

Hoping: that y’all have watched BLACK PANTHER. If you haven’t its worth watching on the big screens. I totally recommend it.

Marveling: at how much YouTube has everything. If you are looking to learn something new, try checking it on YouTube. You might actually find instructions there.

Smelling: vanilla scented candle. I think every time I blog or shoot a video in the house I light this candle.

Wearing: floral, brown shorts that I haven’t worn in quite a while.

Following: a Bible plan by Billy Graham called The Reason for My Hope. I do struggle reading the bible, i’m not going to lie, but I find that following a bible plan is helping me make better of this. I don’t want it to be a routine I want reading the bible to be part of me, part of who I am

Noticing: that my ends are really dry. I have tried everything but my ends feel so dry. HELP A SISTER OUT?

Knowing: that 2018 will  be a great year!

Thinking: of my life after campus.  To be honest I am a tiny bit scared but also hoping on God it will be a new, exciting chapter in my life. I seriously can’t wait.

Bookmarking: this blog. Her content and photography quality is absolutely mind blowing.

Opening: less of social media. My phone has become less of a priority to me to the point were I forget where I place it. To be honest I use it for music and school work

Giggling: over my own dry jokes. My friends think I am crazy when I laugh at my dry jokes but I do find them funny, I find myself funny. I clearly love my own company.

Feeling: good about my life choices lately. Clearly I don’t have time for negative people

Till next time
