She Got Style/ From Fabric To Dress Designs

by

I have a problem. My problem is I am never able to see the end product before it is done and that’s why I buy already made  clothes. My sister on the other hand is absolutely good at this. She showed me the fabric when she bought it and I was not the thrill-est person but thank heavens for not listening to me. Lets just say I couldn’t see what she saw in the fabric. She made two different dress designs.

The first design is a peplum skater dress that is just above the knee. Not too short and not too long, the perfect length. The open back makes it just a tiny bit flirty and fun

She paired the outfit with this strapped black Steve Madden shoes that pulls the outfit together.

The first time I saw this design ( before the dress was made), I wasn’t sure if the fabric was the best fit but seeing it I think it kinda gives this African apparel even though its not quite. The dress has wide shoulder straps and a long slit at the front. The best part… it has POCKETS! Pockets make me happy.

She paired this outfit with white tights, but white jeans could work as well.  The beautiful brown shoes she got from backyardshoez but I cant seem to find them on the website.  You can always check them out here, they have AMAZING shoes. I grantee you’ll find great alternatives.

She paired both outfits with red and yellow drop earrings and an African necklace which go perfectly with the colours of the dresses.

Theses dress designs are absolutely BEAUTIFUL

My sister is on the verge of  relaunching her food blog so go show her some love.

I’m just curious would you rather buy an already made clothe since you are safe (like me) or be daring and opt to buy a fabric a make it into your own design(like my sister)?
